Welcome to the PTA section.
Milton Park Primary PTA is a voluntary organisation made up of people with a relationship to the school, who seek to enhance each pupil’s experience of the school through organising and supporting events and fundraising.
The money generated from the fundraising is used to pay for both day-to-day things, such as the subsidising of school trips and paying for sports equipment, as well as one-off items identified by the school to support the teaching of the curriculum and improve the school environment.
In recent years we have provided significant funding towards the school’s small kitchen, which is used by both breakfast and after schools clubs and to teach children basic food preparation. We have also funded playtime equipment, a grant for Foundation Stage outdoor play equipment, funding for Year 6 leavers experience and most recently purchase of teaching resources for speech and language support. These are amongst many of the ways the PTA support the school, without this support many of these important opportunities would not be available to the school as local authority funding is tightly regulated.
Our two main events are the Christmas Fair (which raised an amazing £1350 in December 2015), and the Summer Fair which takes place in Term 6.
The PTA welcomes anyone interested in being involved, whether it be as part of the committee, as part of a group organising an event, as an occasional volunteer perhaps serving refreshments at the many school events we support or by enjoying and attending one of the PTA events.
