Tax-free childcare is a new online government service to help working parents with the cost of their childcare. For every £8 a parent pays into their childcare account, the government will pay an extra £2, up to the maximum of £2000 every year. For more information please click on the link below:

Parents can use Tax-Free Childcare to pay for:
• Registered childminders, nurseries and nannies
• Registered after-school clubs and play schemes
• Home care workers working for a registered home care agency
Parents can find out more and apply via Childcare Choices.
Parents can also apply for Tax-Free Childcare if they’re not working but expect to start a new job in the next 31 days. They can’t get Tax-Free Childcare and Tax Credits, Universal Credit or childcare vouchers at the same time.
