Milton Park Primary School

Every day a learning adventure

Admission Information

Respect       Resilience       Responsibility

All children are admitted to Milton Park in the September of the academic year that they reach five years of age.
In the summer term, coffee mornings are held for the parents of new Reception children. This is an opportunity for us to welcome you and your child to our school and tell you a little about us. It also gives you a chance to ask any questions, get to know the staff and tell us any special information about your child.
Every child attends part-time for an initial period, to allow the teaching staff to get to know the children well. This also enables the children to begin school in a smaller group and to become familiar with the new routines.  All children should attend full time within two weeks of starting school. Children feed into school from a wide range of pre-school settings. We make every effort to visit the children in their pre-schools but if this is not possible we will talk to their key workers in the summer term before they start.

If you wish to apply for a place for your child to attend Milton Park Primary School our admissions are delegated to North Somerset School Admissions to allocate places in line with current guidelines for those children starting school in September.

Our admission numbers for Reception Intake are currently 60 pupils, two classes taking up to 30 pupils each.

Any prospective parents are welcome to visit the school to meet the Head and staff and see the school in action. Please telephone us for an appointment.

Please call the school on:

or e-mail the school office

If you have added your name to the waiting list for a space at our school, please remember to contact North Somerset Admissions to add yourself to the list each term.

It is very important that applications are made on time, as late applicants have less chance of being allocated a place at their preferred school.

What do our parents say about us?

Thanks for being such a great school. My child's class teacher especially has put me at ease many of times and goes the extra mile to make sure my child is ok, he really has made a difference on how my child views school! Thankyou

Milton park has been a very supportive school and I highly recommend them. Thank you for your time and patience.

Thank you for all the support. My son is very happy

We have been really impressed with all of my child's teachers. They have all gone above and beyond to help her and advice us.

My child loves school. She has been supported every step of the way since reception. I couldn't wish for a better school.

We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude for the special support our child received through the "SEND Program." Your inclusive approach and individualized attention have made a significant difference in her educational journey. The dedicated professionals involved in the program have provided our child with the necessary resources, accommodations, and emotional support, allowing her to thrive academically and socially. We are sincerely grateful for your commitment to creating an inclusive environment where every child can reach their full potential.
