Our Girls football teams have had an extremely busy year! They were runners up in the Somerset School Finals, were champions in a North Somerset tournament and were crowned champions at another tournament yesterday. We are extremely proud of their achievements but also proud of their behaviour and how they conduct themselves and represent our school.
We have had over 27 girls across Year 5 and Year 6 participate in matches and tournaments this academic year and we are so pleased with their accomplishments.
Watch out the England Lionesses, in a few years you will have some competition!
In June our EYFS, Y3, Y4 and Y6 children experienced fencing in June. Check our their use of foam swords!
KS2 had an awesome visit from North Somerset Athletics Club where they each had a go on a laser shooting range and a sprint challenge!
A laser shooting range was set up where the children had to try and hit the black target. As they got better, the distance was increased and we were very impressed with their accuracy.
The children also had to sprint over a distance of 20m which was timed using lasers. They had a couple of goes to try and improve on their personal best! They were all very quick.
