Year 4

Welcome to our Year 4 Curriculum page 

Welcome to Year 4! We have an exciting but busy year ahead.  We will be working hard, building on our existing knowledge and celebrating our achievements. We look forward to our many interesting learning journeys which have been carefully crafted to ensure high-quality learning.

In History we will be learning about the Romans including the Roman Empire and Roman Britain.   After this, we will focus on the history of Christianity and the birth of Islam.  We will be visiting the Roman Baths to enrich our learning.

Our Geography will start in Term 1 looking at the Rhine and Mediterranean. It will then take us on a journey covering population, coasts, tourism, earthquakes and finishing off with deserts. 

In Science, we start our learning with States of Matter then cover Animals Including Humans, Sound, Living Things and Their Habitats, Electricity and finally, The History of Science. This curriculum has been designed by experts and will build on children's prior knowledge with some fantastic investigations along the way!
