We would like to say hello and welcome to all the new Year 5 remote learning page where you will find everything you need to know if we are forced to close our year group bubble or learning from home for other reasons. When you are learning from home, you will find all your tasks and guidance for the week here.
We have been focusing on developing our independence and resilience since returning to school. To support your child, please allow them a quiet space where they are able to work independently, supporting only when needed.
Remember you can contact us through our school email address: email@example.com
Please see below the weekly timetable we follow in Year 5. If you need to access the home learning, you may find following the same routine is beneficial for your child to feel safe and secure in their learning whilst in a different environment.
We are live on Seesaw - our new remote learning platform. The children have been taught how to access their individual Seesaw accounts in school and this information is also stuck in the front of their reading records. If you have any queries, please email the Year 5 email account - firstname.lastname@example.org
When completing work on Seesaw, please use the calendar under the heading "Activities". Here you will find all the activities that need to be completed each day.
If you have to stay at home for any reason, please complete the learning for that day using the independent learning skills we have been practising in class. If you are finding something tricky, remember independent learners are resilient learners. Try different strategies to try and solve problems and complete tasks. If you do get completely stuck with something, don't worry! An adult will make contact with you during the day to talk through any difficulties.
We have been practising accessing our remote learning in school and also how to use Seesaw.
