Every day a learning adventure

Year 3

Welcome to the Year 3 Page

Hello from Miss Flynn, Mr Westlake, Mrs Moore and Mrs Rowlands.

We hope that you and your families are all safe and well and that you are enjoying your learning at home.

It is very strange not seeing your smiling faces each day and not having our normal lessons including our marvellous maths which I know you will be doing at home!

The kitchen is a good place for maths.
You could:

  • help to measure out/weigh ingredients

  • cut foods (sandwiches, pizzas, cakes) into equal fraction parts

  • estimate and measure how much liquid containers/cups will hold

Feeling creative?

Then you could make some fruit /vegetable faces in the style of Arcimboldo.  You could also draw your designs.

Reading, Writing and Spelling

Remember to read regularly.  You could write recounts of stories that you have read, draw the key points to make a storyboard or do both in a 'comic strip' style.  For non-fiction you could make a fact poster.

Have fun with your learning!

If you would like to send any photos of your home learning or have any questions then please contact us by email as below:
