Milton Park Primary School

Every day a learning adventure

Year 2

Welcome to our Home Learning Zone.

This is where we will provide activities for you to complete at home, together with providing the necessary support and guidance you may require.

We have been working with the children to develop skills that will allow them to work with greater independence and resilience. To support your child with their learning, allow them to work as independently as possible, supporting only when needed.

Below, you will find all daily learning resources, with instruction and accompanying timetable.

Please support your child by providing a suitable learning space that is quiet and free of distractions.

You can contact us on the Year 2 email:

We look forward to seeing you back soon.

Typical timetable for remote learning

Exciting news!

We are live on Seesaw - our new remote learning platform. The children have been taught how to access their individual Seesaw accounts in school and this information is also stuck in the front of their reading records.

Seesaw can be accessed online or via the app on a mobile or tablet.

If you have any queries, please email the Year 2 email account -

If you are isolating, please find two days worth of work below to get you started.

P.E at Home

Yorkshire Sport Foundation and leading national organisations (including afPE, Active Partnerships and YST) are working with physical educators from across the country to support parents to teach PE at home.

Watch and complete the short two-minute videos that are posted at 1pm on a Monday, Wednesday and Friday. You can complete as many as the activities as you want!

The activities will show parents free, fun and easy to follow PE activities for the whole family to enjoy together.

Each #ThisIsPE video will focus on a different aspect of the National Curriculum. The videos, delivered by PE teachers, will help children and young people to continue their skill development in PE during this period when we are having to stay at home, to save lives.

You don’t need to be in PE kit and you don’t need sports equipment. All of the videos will use things that you can find around the home.

To view all the videos in one place a #ThisIsPE YouTube playlist can be accessed following this link:
