Milton Park Primary School is now closed. We remain open between 8am-6pm, Monday-Friday, for children who are identified as vulnerable and children whose parents are critical to the COVID-19 response, as defined in government documentation.

Following a rise in COVID-19 cases in Weston-super-Mare and the precautionary closure of local A&E provision, Trustees have decided to delay the wider reopening of ELAN schools to children in Preschool, YR, Y1 and Y6 by one week.

This will be reviewed by trustees on 4th June. Confirmation of specific year group opening dates, times and procedures will be conveyed to parents and carers following this review.

What happens next?

A message from Mrs Backler the phase leader in EYFS

Hello, and welcome to all our new children and their families who are to join our Milton Park family in September!

As a school we can't wait to meet you all and get to know you better.

If this is your first child joining us or you are an old friend I offer you a huge, 'welcome' you are entering a school where... 'Everyday is a learning adventure!'

Things are a little different at school at the moment but rest assured plans are in place for your child's transition and induction into our school.

Parents/Carers.....Next week I will be posting a video on both the website and the school Facebook page explaining the next step of the transition into our school.

You will shortly be receiving an induction pack, brought to your door by a member of staff containing all the information you need before September. It will include your child's class name and a parent meeting appointment time.

In the video I will go through the contents of the pack with you and explain what we hope the first few weeks will look like for the children in September. I will explain all the forms that need completing and returning to school and point you in the direction of uniform and essentials for school.

When the staff deliver the packs to you they will be able to answer any questions you may have and assist you with any queries.

We will knock the door and stand at a 2 metre distance to chat to you. After our chat if you close the door we will post the pack through your letter box! If you are not in we will call again or you can arrange to collect the information from school at a convenient time.

We look forward to seeing you all very soon!

Mrs Backler-04.06.20
